Q1. What are FurNomenon’s operating hours?
Photography sessions can take place between 7am and 7pm from Monday to Sunday & on public holidays. Due to Singapore’s tropical weather, sessions at outdoor venues are recommended to be held in the early morning or early evening. This is when the natural lighting will also likely be at its most optimal.
Q2. Is a deposit required? What are the modes of payment?
A deposit of $100 is required to confirm a booking. The remaining balance shall be paid immediately after the photography session. ‘PayNow’, ‘PayLah’ and cash are accepted. Rates and payments are in Singapore Dollars.
Q3. Are there additional charges to the rates shown?
Additional charges, if any, will be stated clearly upfront and shall be mutually agreed before the session is confirmed. There is no GST charged.
Q4. What is your cancellation and refund policy? What if I have to reschedule?
For cancellations with at least 7 days advanced notice, the deposit will be refunded in full. If the advanced notice is less than 7 days, the deposit will not be refunded. Any rescheduling due to inclement weather (e.g. rain) will not incur any penalties. Otherwise, the rescheduling fee is as follows:
>48 hrs notice – $0
24 to 48 hrs notice - $50
<24 hrs notice - $100
Deposits are valid for 6 months. If a rescheduled session is subsequently cancelled, the deposit will not be refunded.
Q5. What type of venue works best?
For Pet Photography of dogs, suitable outdoor venues will include dog-runs & parks. There are indoor venues which allow pet dogs but they have to be on-leash. For off-leash venues, it will be dog-runs & private venues.
For Portraiture Photography, the venue can be on-location at a residence or outdoors. The key is to have an uncluttered and pleasant background (e.g. nice wall, greenery). For indoor shoots, the availability of soft natural lighting will be ideal (e.g. windows with day curtains).
Q6. What should I prepare before the photography session?
Pet Photography – For Furkids, attire is optional although simple accessories such as a nice collar & tag, t-shirt, scarf, etc are recommended, along with a few favourite toys and treats. Please brush and (if possible) groom your Furkid before the session, especially the areas around the eyes & mouth, and bring along a comb/brush. For Pawtry-in-Motion shots, ample space for your Furkid to zoom around is needed (e.g. dog-run or an enclosed venue that is fenced-up).
Portraiture Photography – Unless the shoot is held at an indoor venue with air-conditioning, you are advised to dress casual/smart casual depending on the desired look. If feasible, bring an extra set or two of clothes for different looks.
Q7. How soon & how will I get my photos?
Soft-copies of your photos will be sent to you via Google Drive, WeTransfer or Dropbox up to 10-15 working days after the shoot. The photos may be available earlier if circumstances permit. The photos will be in high-resolution JPG format.
Q8. Are there other matters to note?
FurNomenon Photography will not be liable if the booking is unfulfilled or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to “Acts of God”. If such a situation happens, the booking may be rescheduled to a mutually agreeable date/time or the deposit may be refunded in full.
Selected photos may be used by FurNomenon Photography for social media and marketing purposes.
